There are many awesome features to this basement finish project in an upscale neighborhood in Danville, Pa. As is typical in most basements, the amount of headroom available can either make or break how big a space feels. At a little extra cost, we opted to maximize the headroom where we could between beam sections. The new wafer “recessed” lighting options and some HVAC innovation also gave us full flexibility to maximize the ceiling height in the main portion of the basement. Also, the existing rough-in plumbing layout did not work with the desired plans, so we simply capped off, filled in, and installed an up-flush system at the appropriate location to service the exact layout desired for the shower, toilet, & vanity. We were also able to maximize storage space with some creative cabinetry below the stairs. All in all, the clients were thrilled with the end result!
