Alvira Farmhouse, 2014, Allenwood, PA

For this project, we completely remodeled a farmhouse kitchen for a friend of our company. First, we tore out an exterior bearing wall and replaced it with a beam, performing several other structural changes along the way. An old entry room was added to the kitchen space and converted to dining room. Our crew carried out custom shimming, leveling the entire floor area. They added structural bracing to support the second floor. Finishes include LVT flooring, custom rustic hickory cabinets and beams, a tile backsplash, a large island with a sink, and a cozy window reading nook. This was truly a project that added value to the farmhouse and met this large family’s need for a central space where they can hang out together.
