Our experiences with Cliff Kauffman and Crossroads Construction have been nothing but good. The first project he did for us (refinishing our deck, which was wooden and starting to rot, with composite lumber, as well as building a set of stairs from it down to the yard) was done beautifully. Thus, we hired him again to finish our unfinished basement. What started off as one big unheated space of cinder blocks and concrete was transformed into a multi-room, cozy, bright living space, complete with drywall, paint and carpet. During both projects, Cliff asked questions every step of the way to make sure we knew our options and that we were all on board with what was going to happen next. If there was an issue or setback, he informed us immediately and worked with us to find a solution. And when we needed some under-stairs cabinetry built for the basement project, Cliff recommended a builder he knew who specialized in that sort of work. Because they had Cliff’s trust, they had mine, and they did a gorgeous job.

We had a fairly complicated remodel. Cliff produced a very detailed plan, and worked with us through all of the changes. We are very happy with the results.

We worked with Cliff to design our remodel and double the size of our home. Cliff was fun to work with, responsive and improved our ideas to a design that fit our existing house. We ended up getting everything we wanted, 2nd story, room for solar on the roof and layout that feels like a new home instead of a sprawling add on. Looking back after living in it for a few months, we are thrilled with the layout and thankful for Cliffs expertise in making a cozy home a reality!

He’s trustworthy, kind and thoughtful, and I have never felt like he’s pushing us to go with a pricier option than we’re comfortable with. Cliff and his crew did a fantastic job on our kitchen renovation. They were attentive, responsive and punctual from estimate to completion. Cliff and his team did a wonderful job on my basement. They created a family room, bathroom, office and bedroom in our basement. He updated us on costs and kept us updated on progress of the remodel. I would certainly hire them again for any remodeling/construction projects.
